Worship - Sundays at Canterbury Retreat House

What’s it like to worship with Epiphany?

In worship we honor and engage with God in different ways: through music, art, Scripture, prayer, story, and communion. With God as our focus, we sing of God’s greatness using modern songs and classic hymns. We read from and teach God’s message from the Bible. We come to God in prayer with our needs and our thanks, and we reaffirm the ancient creeds of Christianity that proclaim the character and work of God. Each week we approach God through Holy Communion, taking the bread and wine as a reminder of the work of Jesus to draw the world to God.

Worship at Epiphany also seeks to integrate three expressions of the Church: the Scripture, the Spirit and the Sacred. Scripture reveals truth, guides our lives and is authoritative for the Church. God the Spirit works in us and in the world demonstrating God’s power and bringing God’s presence. The Sacred illustrates the holy aspect of our faith including our forms of worship and sacraments.

Coffee and breakfast breads are served at 10:30AM.  Holy Communion at 11AM. We provide childcare for toddlers.
